The selection of students is made in accordance with the current legislation and provisions of the Postgraduate Studies Regulation of the Postgraduate Program. A notice for the admission of postgraduate students to the Master’s Program is published and posted on the website of the MSc and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) every May, by decision of the Assembly of the School of Medicine, of the NKUA. Applications along with the necessary supporting documents are submitted to the Administrative Office of the Master’s Program, within a deadline set during the announcement, that may be extended by decision of the Assembly of the School of Medicine.
The Master's Program accepts graduates of domestic institutions, or equivalent recognized institutions abroad from the following departments: Medicine, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and related Health Sciences.
The maximum number of admitted students is set at forty (40) in total, per academic year.
The selection of the candidates is carried out by the Postgraduate Student Selection Committee consisting of three (3) Faculty Members, in two phases. During the first phase, the candidates' files are examined and then the candidates who meet the requirements are invited for an oral interview by the Postgraduate Student Selection Committee.
Applicants who meet the requirements will be informed by the Secretary of the Postgraduate Program via e-mail about the time and place and of their personal interview.
The selection of candidates is carried out based on the following criteria:
The Postgraduate Student Selection Committee, undertakes the evaluation and ranking of the candidate postgraduate students. Based on the overall criteria, the Coordinating Committee, upon recommendation of the Postgraduate Student Selection Committee, draws up the evaluation table of the students and submits it for approval to the Assembly.
Successful candidates must register with the Administrative Office of the Master’s Program within thirty (30) days from the decision of the Assembly.
